APWA KC Metro Chapter recognizes Civic Plaza for 2014 Award!

The project began as a  simple entry space to the City's existing Farmers' Market and grew into a gathering space all its own.  With an arch at the street front complementing the Main Street arch, the trickle from the central fountain feature, the whisper of the wind through the trees and a colorful plant palette, this park is a respite for downtown shoppers and visitors.  

Named Civic Plaza, the design was completed by Landworks Studio and team in 2013 and the project construction was completed late this fall.  Grandview's downtown is seeing much revitalization with the completion of its new streetscape and the addition of this park space. New investments in old buildings are being made.  Coming soon is Local Roots Market located just east of the Civic Plaza!  By the time the weather gets really nice, you can grab lunch, sit in the park and enjoy some sunshine!
