ICT Pop-up Park

Last week we sent our newest hire, Rachel Fox, to Wichita for the ribbon cutting of a project she worked on while an intern at Wichita Downtown Developmenrt Corporation (WDDC). ICT Pop-up Park is the newest addition to the public sphere in downtown Wichita. Located near the intersection of Douglas Ave and Market St. the ICT Pop-up Park is downtown Wichita’s first temporary landscape. Rachel’s work on the pop-up park inspired her to work on her Masters’ Thesis “Creating a Typology for Temporary Landscapes (2015).”  #ICT Pop-up Park’s success is the result of layers of cooperation between private developers, public organizations, non-profit organizations, local artists, the food truck industry, and collaboration with Landscape Architecture students at Kansas State University. ICT Pop-up park illustrates that great things happen when we all work together. Landworks Studio is so glad to have Rachel as part of the team and excited to see her successes continue.
