Landworks Studio is proud to have been part of the recently opened Sumatran Tiger Exhibit located along Tiger Trail in the Kansas City Zoo. The new exhibit opened on July 26, 2012, with a great response from the tigers as well as a feature in the Kansas City Star.

Sumatran tigers are a rare subspecies of tiger that inhabit the Indonesian Island of Sumatra. This pair of tigers, Manis and Langka, are brothers and have been in Kansas City since 2006.

The tigers were introduced to their new home and now enjoy a waterfall and pond, interesting cliffs, rock ledges and plenty of room to stretch. As newly planted bamboo shoots mature the Tigers will be shaded and buffered from the noises and commotions their neighboring monkey friends may cause, while the ultra strong invisinet enclosure will provide muiltiple viewing opportunities for guests as the tigers move throughout their new enclosure.

If you have a chance to get to the zoo this fall, please stop by and meet the brothers in their new home!
