November 24th is Small Business Saturday!

As we heard throughout the campaigning this election year, small businesses are crucial to a thriving economy. The SBA cites that "over the last two decades, small and new businesses have been responsible for creating two out of every three net new jobs in the U.S., and today over half of all working Americans own or work for a small business."

Small businesses in both rural areas and our cities need our support and in my experience I have found these businesses tend to KNOW their stuff and APPRECIATE me as a consumer.  I had the great fortune of growing up in the quintessential Kansas town of Norton complete with a Main Street Duckwall's and Moffet's Drug Store (yes there is a soda fountain).   If you have the opportunity, please consider supporting small businesses whereever you are as you search for that perfect Christmas gift.
