Public Art Advisory Council Takes a Trip

The City of Olathe has engaged a public art consultant to provide a plan and direction for the City. As part of the effort, a Public Arts Advisory Committee has been selected.  As an Advisory Committee member, Carisa and the group took a tour around the KC Metro to observe and react to various public art initiatives. Carisa's experience with public art extends back to her days in Wichita as a city staff member for the City's Public Art initiative during the implementation of the 1% for art effort.  Integrated art in the landscape has remained a passion for Carisa and her team.
