Landworks Studio was selected by the Parks and Recreation Department of Kansas City, Missouri to create a master plan to revitalize a community center serving the northern part of the city. Located at Parvin Road and Praether Avenue, the Kansas City North Community Center provides community wide recreation opportunities to an older part of the KC community.
Through community involvement developing a hierarchy of amenities desired, and coordination with Parks and Recreation to provide unique amenities, Landworks Studio developed a master plan to serve the community for years to come.
Upon completion of the master plan, Landworks Studio was contracted to complete Phase I Design. This phase included repurposing of tennis courts to half court basketball and developing a playground for both the residents and day camp participants.
