KC North Community Center Playground

Located at Parvin Road and Prather Avenue, the Kansas City North Community Center provides community wide recreation opportunities to an older part of the KC community.  
Upon completion of the master plan, LWS was chosen to complete Phase I Design to include the conversion of an under used tennis court to a playground and half court basketball court per the plan’s recommendations.  The playground was inspired by a pollinator theme and includes a caterpillar and colorful theming for the neighborhood and summer camp groups..  The playground has become a community asset and is serving the neighborhood very well.
