Located at 159th Street and Quivira, this new park celebrates the sister city relationship between Overland Park, Kansas, and Bietigheim-Bissingen, Germany. Landworks Studio drew design inspiration from the German city’s iconic features, including its grid network, river confluence, gardens, and vineyards.

The park will include a playground, bocce ball courts, multi-use trails, open lawn areas with games, and vibrant gardens. A sculptural piece by German artist Dieter Kränzlein will serve as a symbolic centerpiece of the international connection. The project represents cultural exchange through public space and creates a dynamic destination for community gathering and play.
