Landworks Studio was invited by a civil engineering partner to collaborate on the conceptual design for the hardscape and landscape elements at the western entrance of Fort Hays State University, aiming to transform this gateway into an inviting and functional space that enhances both the pedestrian experience and the campus aesthetic.
The design improves pedestrian circulation and safety, while creating a more prominent visual statement. Decorative pavers define the pathway, guiding visitors with an engaging, durable surface, while drought-tolerant, low-maintenance landscaping supports sustainability and adds seasonal texture and color.
