Landworks Studio partnered with the City of Fairway, Kansas, and donors Paul and Susie Lyon to transform a vacant lot into a vibrant neighborhood park - dedicated in memory of their daughter, Kathryn Lyon Flora. Funded entirely through the Lyons’ generosity, the park brings life to a space that once lacked sidewalks and safe play opportunities.
Landworks Studio provided full design, community engagement, and construction administration services for this compact yet impactful park. Completed in May 2021, it features a pond-less water element, colorful plantings, inclusive play equipment, a family swing, and a shaded shelter. As Fairway’s second public park, it now serves as a cherished gathering space - designed for children, families, and neighbors to connect in a walkable, welcoming setting.
