The City of Lee’s Summit’s new Joint Operations Facility brings critical public safety services together within a coordinated campus designed to support the community’s continued growth. Located adjacent to the existing Police and Courts facility, the project houses police and fire dispatch, fire administration, emergency operations, and training in one centralized location.
Landworks Studio provided landscape architecture services focused on creating welcoming, functional outdoor spaces that complement the facility and support those who use it every day. Planting design, site furnishings, and outdoor amenities soften the public safety campus and create opportunities for employees to step outside and recharge. A custom shade structure provides a comfortable gathering space, while integrated planter walls help define and enhance the building entry.
Together, the building and surrounding landscape create a resilient, thoughtfully designed facility that strengthens Lee’s Summit’s public safety campus while investing in the people who serve the community.
