Johnson County Parks and Recreation chose a team led by Landworks Studio to transform this former golf course into a vibrant, mixed-use community park. Our team drew upon the site’s topography, mature trees, and open vistas to create a park that serves as a longstanding community anchor alongside new residential and commercial development. Phase I, completed in 2019, includes a destination playground, secondary play areas for toddlers, a sledding hill, pickleball courts, trails, a senior fitness station, shelters, restrooms, and a 12,000 SF activity center.
Through extensive stakeholder and community engagement, we designed a park that resonates with its users today — and for generations to come.
