As part of a citywide effort to revitalize Wichita’s aquatic facilities, Landworks Studio led the design of six new spray grounds across city parks. Working in collaboration with Waters Edge Aquatic Design, City staff, and surrounding neighborhoods, each site features a unique theme that reflects local culture and history. The spray grounds offer a blend of aquatic and dry play elements, multi-age appeal, varied textures, integrated shade, and immersive water experiences unlike anything else in the region. Four have been constructed at Evergreen, Edgemoor, Boston, and Linwood Parks, with Planeview and Harrison Parks slated for completion in 2022.
